Trying to de-stress and escape from reality?
Cancun, Mexico is the place to go.
I was trying to escape from the cold winters of New York and finally relax after finals week. I decided Mexico was going to be my destination before 2011 ended. Getting off the plane in Cancun was surprisingly amazing; I was mind-blown as to how great the weather was. I had the pleasure of staying at the Moon Palace Resort and can't even begin to describe how breathtaking the view was at the Resort. The Resort had many activities planned. The trip was only four days but I definitely made the most of it.
During the four days, I had to squeeze in as many things as I could; jet skiing, para sailing, kissing dolphins, exploring the city, eating as much as I could, flea markets, and of course laying on the beach and getting my tan on! Jet skiing was my favorite. Riding against the waves with the wind cooling you off and at the same time having the sun shinning on your back was the best feeling. Para sailing was a great experience, as you soar higher and higher, the view of the Gulf of Mexico and the city of Cancun becomes just indescribably magnificent.
I highly recommend staying at Moon Palace Resorts; 13 restaurants, golf and spa, jet skiing and para sailing provided during the day, and even special night performances.
On the third night, my friends and I stumbled into a Michael Jackson performance. It was pretty impressive, it was basically a recreated Michael Jackson concert with a few of his most famous songs: Billie Jean, Beat it, Thriller, We are the World, etc.
Cancun was amazing, never a dull moment in this paradise on earth.
Mexico has been top priority for tourists during the holidays. After my first trip to Mexico, I completely understand how people were drawn to this welcoming and warm place.

S'MAC
So the first restaurant I've decided to review is specially known for one of America's greatest food invented, MAC N' CHEESE. S'mac creates different kinds of macaroni and cheese. I mean honestly, it doesn't get better than this; each type is unique in its own way. The menu holds such variety with the Cheeseburger, Napoletana, Mediterranean, Alpine, La Mancha, and even Buffalo Chicken.
I ordered the Cheeseburger and my friend ordered the Napoletana. The Cheeseburger had actual ground beef, it was like taking a huge bite of a burger without the mess. The Napoletana tasted exactly like pizza with fresh basil leaves and roasted tomatoes, it was like going back to Italy. Both were baked so well that the top was crusty and underneath was a pile of different delicious rich cheeses with either ground beef or basil leaves and tomatoes. The secret was the cheeses, the Cheeseburger had a mix of Cheddar cheese and American cheese. Napoletana mixed fresh mozzarella with a bit of roasted garlic.
It was Mac n Cheese heaven. I highly suggest this place if you are a fan of mac n cheese.
S'mac is located in 345 E. 12th St. Manhattan, NY

To Start offf......
My whole life has been composed of three major things, Food, Art and Traveling.
I've always had a deep appreciation FOOD and honestly having any snack or meal could just make my day so much better than it started off. One of my favorite pastimes is looking at sites like Yelp, reading reviews and discovering new restaurants to try.
ART has just always been a big part of my life. I started taking art classes when I was 7 or 8 and went to School of the Arts in San Francisco freshman year of high school (it was the best year mainly because it was an excuse to draw and paint for hours). I never gave up on Art, it was always something I could count on, someone I could tell my secrets and feelings to.
Since I was young, I have been the "anywhere but here" girl. I loved TRAVELING to different places, exploring new things - sounds cliche but I'm being completely honest. Being an only child, I got bored easily and had to find new places to go and new things to do. I started off in San Francisco, California, moved to Queens, New York when I turned 15 and finally ended up in Boston, Massachusetts. Those three places are only the main places in the U.S. that I've lived most of my life.
